Though I have called many places “home,” I currently live alongside my two 18-year-old feline familiars on, and am attempting to develop a relationship with, ancestral Nonotuck lands. I am actively working to dismantle and unlearn the things that whiteness and white supremacy have deeply ingrained. I know that this is a lifelong process and then some, know that BIPOC liberation means liberation for all, and prioritize this as I move through life. My ancestors are from Sweden (Varmland area), Poland, France, Germany and other areas I am unaware of. I am connecting with these roots as much as I am able to. Astrologically speaking, my sun is in Gemini, as is my Mercury, with a Pisces moon, Virgo rising, and Venus in Cancer. Basically what this means is that I know a little bit of info about a lot of things and want to share this with you,, that my heart and inner world is tender and highly intuitive, that my most authentic self has the ability to be highly analytical and organized with a drive towards community care and justice, and that I feel content nurturing and being nurtured in order to create a home space in relationships of all kinds, including with myself. That’s just the tip of my astrological iceberg. If you want to get more Dirt, just ask - I’m happy to share. Schooling and work-wise, in case this matters to you, I attended public school as a child and teenager, then had the privilege to attend universities to receive an undergrad degree in Women’s Studies in 2007. Since then, I’ve found myself floating around to different official “jobs,” from non-profit queer youth program management and summer camp directing to serving at coffee shops and restaurants to helping survivors of intimate partner violence to teaching kiddos how to play soccer to nannying. Fun fact: I had never played soccer before I started coaching. I bet watching the 6-year-olds kick my ass on the field was pretty fun. In early 2023, after at least half a lifetime of receiving care and learning from coaches, therapists, and other healers, I went back to “school” at the Life Purpose Insitute to obtain my Certified Life Coach (CLC) and Certified Spiritual Coach (CSC) credentials from this ICF-accredited school. I received my certification in July 2023. The online version of Danceground was a kernel of an idea I nurtured towards the end of my coaching certification class, and after 2+ years of dancing and moving online, I decided it was time to take it outdoors and in person... and in September 2025, Danceground Western Mass was born!
